Adhesive for Aerated Concrete – GAZEBLOCK 220 The adhesive composition allows for the laying of blocks such as foam concrete, aerated concrete, gas silicate, and others.

APPLICATION AREA

The mixture is intended for:

• Laying blocks of aerated concrete (gas block) and foam concrete, expanded clay blocks, cinder blocks, and bricks;

• Leveling wall surfaces and puttying them;

• Laying ceramic tiles.

ADVANTAGES

• Plasticity and fine aggregate

  The fine filler (no more than 0.63 mm) allows for a joint thickness of 2–3 mm. This reduces consumption by at least 4 times and minimizes the joint thickness, which reduces the total area of joints and, consequently, eliminates heat loss through the seams (cold bridges).

• Low water demand

  Only 5.5 liters of water are required per bag of dry mix (25 kg). This means the humidity of the aerated concrete will not increase significantly.

• Consistent quality

  The composition of the adhesive mortar is always the same, ensuring consistent bonding performance.

• Frost resistance

  The mixture includes antifreeze additives, providing frost resistance and moisture resistance.

• Versatility

  The adhesive can be used as putty, eliminating waste/residues.

• Ease of preparation

  It is easy to mix exactly as much glue as needed for the work.

• Winter use

  The availability of special winter adhesives for aerated concrete allows work to be carried out in the cold season.

• No shrinkage

  The adhesive is capable of hardening without shrinkage.

HOW TO USE CORRECTLY

• Store in a warm place (not lower than +5°C);

• Mix with warm water (up to +40°C);

• Aerated concrete blocks must not be covered with snow (this increases humidity and reduces adhesive properties);

• Adhesive spatulas or carriages should be kept in warm water;

• Use containers exclusively for glue; otherwise, larger impurities may appear. This won't significantly affect adhesive properties but will affect layer thickness (resulting in excess consumption).

SURFACE PREPARATION

The surface must be cleaned of dust, formwork oil, paint, and similar substances. The temperature of the base and environment must be between +5°C and +30°C. Before applying the mortar, the surface must be moistened. It is recommended to treat unevenly or highly absorbent surfaces (foam concrete, gas block, old brickwork) with a deep-penetrating primer.

MIXTURE PREPARATION

The material must have a temperature of at least +5°C during use. The adhesive is mixed with water at a ratio of approximately 1 liter of liquid per 5 kg of dry mix. After mixing to a homogeneous mass, wait 5 minutes and mix again.

WORK PROCEDURE

Apply the adhesive to clean blocks (free of dust, dirt, oil stains) in a minimal layer. The joint thickness during masonry should not exceed 2–4 mm. Remove excess immediately or cut it off with a trowel after setting. The position of the blocks can be corrected for approximately 10 minutes (using a rubber mallet is permissible). Level the surface by tapping lightly.

WARRANTY AND STORAGE

Guaranteed shelf life in undamaged original packaging is 6 months from the date of manufacture. Shelf life is 12 months. Store in dry rooms, protecting the bags from moisture. Transportation must ensure the integrity of the packaging and protection from moisture. The instruction for use is advisory and does not replace the professional training of the worker.
