SCOPE OF APPLICATION

The grout is designed for filling joints with a width of 2 to 6 mm between wall and floor ceramic tiles, for swimming pools, marble and porcelain stoneware slabs, and mosaics both inside buildings in rooms with various humidity levels and outside buildings. Applied on non-deformable surfaces. Suitable for interior and exterior works in rooms with various humidity levels.

BASE PREPARATION

The temperature of the base and the environment must be in the range from +5°C to +30°C. After laying the tiles, the inter-tile joints must be cleaned of the mortar used for laying the tiles (tile adhesive). The depth of the inter-tile joints must be uniform. Then the surface of the tile cladding must be cleaned of dirt and dust. Hardened dirt is removed mechanically, and dust with a damp soft cloth. Before filling the inter-tile joints, to avoid discoloration of the grout in the joints, it is necessary to ensure that the mortar used for laying the tiles is dry. The drying time is indicated in its application instructions. After that, the edges of the tiles must be moistened with a damp sponge. When renewing the joints of existing tile cladding, the old grout must be completely removed before applying the new one.

SOLUTION PREPARATION

To prepare the BÜCHEN FUGA PREMIUM EXTRA solution, it is necessary to:

1. Take a precisely measured amount of water (4.0-4.4 L per 20 kg of mix).

2. Pour the mixture into the water.

3. Mix using a construction mixer or a drill with a special nozzle until a homogeneous mass is obtained.

4. Wait for a technological pause of 10 minutes for the solution to mature.

5. Mix again. After that, the grout is ready for use within 40 minutes with periodic stirring.

WORK PROCEDURE

The solution is applied to the cladding surface with a rubber spatula or float and rubbed into the joints, moving the tool at an angle to the application plane. Then the excess mortar mixture is collected from the tile surface with a spatula and the inter-tile joints are filled again. After 10-20 minutes, the treated surface is wiped with a damp sponge. After 4-6 hours, the dried plaque remaining on the tile surface is removed with a dry soft cloth. Attention! The joints should be protected from atmospheric influences for 7 days, as they can affect the grout hardening process.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

The dry mix contains cement. When mixed with water, the product gives an alkaline reaction. To prevent skin irritation, avoid contact of the solution with exposed parts of the body. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with water and consult a doctor if necessary. In addition to the information set forth above, safety instructions in construction should be followed.

WARRANTY AND STORAGE

Shelf life in undamaged original packaging is 6 months from the date of manufacture. Store in dry rooms, excluding moisture ingress on bags with dry mix. Transportation of products must be carried out under conditions ensuring the safety of packaging and protection from moisture. Stack a maximum of 10 bags vertically.
